Restoring Vitality Naturally.
At Sunshine Coast Veterinary Acupuncture, we are dedicated to supporting your animal’s health, healing, and happiness through the time-honoured practice of acupuncture alongside energy healing modalities like bodywork and Reiki. Whether you’re caring for a high-performance horse or a beloved family pet, our mission is to treat the whole being, not just the symptoms.
Acupuncture is a gentle, natural therapy that works in harmony with conventional veterinary care. This minimally invasive treatment stimulates healing, relieves pain, reduces inflammation, and enhances circulation by using fine, sterile needles to activate specific points on the body.
Lucy Kennedy DVM, started Sunshine Coast Veterinary Acupuncture in response to a realisation that, while we care for our horses and pets physical body, they are highly emotional beings who are highly attuned to their owners which the status quo of modern healthcare doesn't take into account.

Acupuncture is a safe, natural, and highly effective treatment used to restore balance, reduce pain, and support long-term wellness in animals. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) and backed by modern science, this ancient therapy is increasingly sought after by pet and horse owners alike.
Lucy's service is not just acupuncture. It is a high-touch treatment, tailored to the animal and the owner. The aim is to provide a nurturing and calming treatment that will honour the human-animal bond. Appointments are generally 40mins - 1hr 20 mins for horses and usually around 40 minutes for dogs and cats.

In addition to treating known health concerns, acupuncture is also an excellent preventative therapy. Many animals develop subtle imbalances or low-grade discomfort that may not show up during a routine exam. Regular acupuncture treatments can help detect and correct these early signs—supporting overall vitality, reducing the risk of injury, and enhancing quality of life.
Each appointment is highly tailored, depending on the needs of the animal and the owner.
